Blue Room
A tea setup designed for the Blue Room Art Curatorial Project, celebrating the evocative exploration of the color blue.

Housed in the historic Casa Burgheza in downtown Bucharest, the space is transformed with an ethereal installation of blue LED and stage lighting, creating a monochromatic environment of depth and serenity. At the heart of this transformation, a tea table emerges as a centerpiece—a mirror placed in the room's center, illuminated from below to amplify the interplay of light and reflection.

Delicate translucent films, combined with water, glass, and fine porcelain, interact with the lighting to cast intricate and mesmerizing patterns in shifting shades of blue. This immersive installation blends tradition and contemporary artistry, inviting viewers to experience tea as a visual, sensory, and meditative exploration of color and light.
The blue color, intense yet nuanced, reflects a spectrum of shades across the room's varied materials, creating a dynamic interplay of light and texture. This unifying hue not only envelops the space but also highlights the graceful movements of brewing, serving, and sipping tea. The small, delicate sounds—water boiling, tea pouring, and a faint fizz—contrast beautifully with the surrounding silence, drawing attention to the rhythmic and meditative nature of the tea ritual within this monochromatic setting.
